You are invited to take a journey with us through the glorious story of Massaya red wine. We’re calling this special experience Massaya Flight 1998 because that’s our earliest vintage from the landmark year when the first bottling took place at Tanail. Since then our range of reds has expanded to include the luscious Gold Reserve and the other labels on which we have built our reputation for excellence – Cap Est, Terrasses de Baalbek and Le Colombier.
Check in at Massaya Faqra where you’ll find our Tasting Room alongside the magnificent library wines resting in the cool caves deep in the mountainside. You will see that we are using a clever new device to draw a single glass of wine from these older bottles without removing the cork. The Coravin system pours a glass of wine through a needle in the cork. As the wine comes out, compressed air goes in and the bottle can be racked again until the next serving is required.
Flight 1998 will take you back in time to enjoy five wines from our most treasured vintages up to 2004. It is a rare opportunity to taste and compare the wines that put Massaya on the world map.
